A Real Representative who will bring true change to Sacramento and fight for Valley Families!
Fernando Banuelos was born and raised in the San Juaquin Valley all his life. He was raised in a farming community of Fresno County. Banuelos was raised working in the fields and understands the hardships that many farm laborers endure. His background in farming, education and as a businessman, has given him the experience and education not only to understand the market of farming but the valley’s educational system as well. He is a strong advocate in valley water, agriculture, and the economy, as it pertains to the homeless and poverty. Fresno County is the highest in the nation in unemployment, poverty and 27th in education.
His family has farmed for over 60 years, Mr. Banuelos' family has experienced the droughts that many valley farmers have endured in the years of 1976-1977, 2006–2010, and 2012–2017 suffering immense financial losses. He will advocate in Sacramento that the farmers secure funding for the dams and to overturn any unfair mandate imposed by the government that will prohibit the allocation of water to their lands. He will promote for farmers to have a fair value for commodities.
